Registered Psychologist (Owner)
Michelle Hamilton
Michelle is a registered psychologist who is committed to the growth and development of people. Michelle has a warm, direct and transparent approach that is relatable and easy to open up to; her love of learning means she is very well-trained and is also experienced, both personally and professionally.

Michelle works with adults and teens and has a special interest in treating PTSD and working with RCMP and first responders. She is a trained and certified EMDR therapist as well as has completed training in Levels 1 & 2 Gottman’s Method of Relationship Therapy. Michelle also has trainings in CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Kelsey Bouck
Having been a teacher for 7 years, Kelsey has a passion for working with adolescents with varying degrees of mental health concerns. In addition to teens, she also enjoys working with adults and invites clients, regardless of their age, to share their story in a space that allows them to feel seen, heard, supported, and validated.
Kelsey has a special interest in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, boundary issues, and body image issues/self-esteem issues. Kelsey has completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Student Counsellor
Koryssa Steveson
Koryssa Steveson is practicum student completing her Master’s Degree
(MA) in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. She has
been approved and is qualified to practice counselling at Beyond
Balance under the clinical supervision of Michelle Hamilton. She has 3
years of experience of counselling clients who struggle with substance
abuse disorders and co-morbid diagnoses.
Koryssa will be offering individual counselling to teens and adults
seeking support with issues like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem,
anger, stress management, relationship issues and/or grief/loss. She
may be able to support clients in learning skills to improve boundaries
and communication, challenging negative thought patterns, to improve
emotional regulation and develop healthy coping strategies.
Please note that in many cases, counsellors and practicum students are
assigned to clients based on their areas of expertise, availability for
appointments, and other factors deemed important by the client (i.e.,
age, gender, insurance/benefits, etc.). These decisions are often made
at the discretion of the agency/practicum site and a direct referral to
Koryssa may not be guaranteed.
